Fundraising Idea for THIS FRIDAY, March 11th
Hello parents, students.
Hana, Maggie and Rachel came up with a new initiative that will take place this Friday, March 11th, during block 3 (12:55 to 2:10PM) in our classroom for our French immersion gr6 class. Their idea is to raise funds for our School Lenten Project. They discussed it with Mrs Green and I and we both agreed that it is a good idea!
On Friday, students of our class are invited to:
-Wear your Loonie Lenten Colour (Catholic Graduate Expectation Assembly during last block).
-Bring in a board game.
-With parent approval, sign-up in class to bring a plate of nut-free baked goods (store-bought or homemade)
-Music will be played in the classroom
-Students are encouraged to bring in a small amount of money to purchase goods
-A selected baked good will be raffled off at the end of the block. Cost of raffle tickets will be $0.25.
-All proceeds will go to our Lenten Project and divided between our local (Syrian families) and global school initiatives (Water projects).
Merci! M.K.

Electricity Project Details...
Bonjour! There is no need to work on your Science project at home. Some students asked if they could do some work at home. Yes, they can if they wish but sufficient time is given at school for all to complete! In case you do want to do a bit of work at home, I posted a link to our checklist below... and, there are more details on the copy shared with you on your Google drive. As always, if you have questions, ask!! :-) M.K.

French Test Results!
Bonjour les étudiants et étudiantes!
Results from the French test were handed out to students today, Mon.January, 25th. You do not need to hand them back in, but please take a moment to look at the results. Also please discuss with your child the answer he or she provided to the last question concerning the amount of time studied. Out of 25 students who wrote the test, 15 received a grade of B+ or higher for the first part and 13 students achieved a grade of B+ or higher for the second part. Students who took the time to review the study sheet shared two weeks ago did very well. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. Merci! M. Kennedy
